The Electrical
Engineering Branch established its roots in Assam Engineering
College in 1957, as the second functioning branch.
The branch offers Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree and has
an annual intake of 60 students. Experienced professors and
lecturers strengthen the department, which creates a healthy
environment with student-teacher ratio of 5:1.
The curriculum of the department is mainly oriented to cater the
needs of IT- Industry, Software Controlled Heavy and Light
Electrical and Power Systems. The Department also offers post
graduate courses in Electric Energy Systems and Control &
Instrumentation.
