COURSE
CURRICULUM:
The course is designed to develop appropriate skills and
impart comprehensive knowledge in the field of mechanical
engineering. It covers pure engineering subjects viz.,
mechanics, engineering design and graphics, thermal engineering,
fluid mechanics, material science and manufacturing processes.
The course also includes four-week compulsory summer training in
the pre-final year.
MAJOR AREAS OF FOCUS:
The department also offers specialization in I. C. Engines,
refrigeration and air conditioning, hydraulic machinery,
compressors and gas turbines, CAD, CAM, operation research and
machine tools. The recent additions to the list of
specialization are Robotics and Finite element methods in
engineering.
